Our
askaboutwriting.net website was recognised in the United States as one
of the top websites for writers in 2006.
We
are listed in the annual listing of the 101 best websites for writers
for 2006 as chosen by the highly prestigious Writers' Digest
the writers bible in the United States.
The judges examined more than 1,400 nominations and declared that they
had chosen the most valuable websites for writers. And we cannot really
disagree.
In 2006 the listings were simplified to six categories: creativity,
general resources, genre/niche, just for fun, publishing resources and
writing sites.
Our category: Publishing resources.
Writer's
Digest is the world's leading magazine for writers, founded in
1920. Writer's Market, the bible for writers seeking to publish their
work, was first published in 1921. Together, they form the foundation
of a wide range of informational, instructional and inspirational offerings
for writers. Today's offerings include a variety of books, magazines,
special interest publications, educational courses, conferences, websites
and more.
