The Speakeasy programme shows how to speak more effectively, not only in public, but at work, in the community and in inter-personal relationships.

SpeakEasy gives participants an understanding of
nerve-calming techniques; ways to swiftly assemble a response to a challenge or question and take command of the situation.

SpeakEasy gives clear guidelines for preparing set speeches and delivering them effectively.

The course is designed with the learner speaker in mind. No experience is required to begin.

Course Outline:

SpeakEasy is a short practical programme in public speaking.

Participants learn the basics of delivering set pieces and impromptu responses in a supportive environment through instruction and participation.

The course is informal and informative; the better to stimulate practice that can be used by delegates without delay.

Objectives:
On conclusion of the course participants will be empowered to:

• Banish the fear of speaking in public
• Conduct business meetings better
• Motivate staff
• Sell ideas, products and services.
• Prepare and practice set pieces for delivery
• Deliver cogent impromptu responses
• Chair a meeeting or seminar
• Persuade listeners
• Speak effectively from the floor
• Assess an audience and its requirements
• Begin, develop and conclude short or long speeches or reports
• Introduce a fellow speaker

Full-day 9.30am - 4.30pm

Half-day 9.30am -1pm

Minimum of five and maximum of twelve participants per course.
